By the time this article appears, Peyton Manning is supposed to have announced his retirement. If it hasn’t occurred yet, it is certainly supposed to happen this month. Why wouldn’t Manning select this time to retire? After all, the Super Bowl victory was the 200th win of his career. It also was his second Super Bowl Championship. He is a 5-time league MVP and has led two different teams to those Super Bowl titles.Peyton is 39 years old and has had major surgery on his neck. I would think he would want to get out while he can still walk. I don’t think he could ever find a better time than now to step down. There are no real goals that he hasn’t achieved unless he wants to beat Tom Brady’s record. At his age, this is a dream, not a reality.Happy Retirement to Peyton!
